This brings up another question. Just how far are these things verified? What would happen if I checked the box marked "African American" - would they ask for documentation? If, somehow, someone decided to look into my ancestry, and they didn't find any other people identifying as the race I checked on my admissions form, what would be the consequence? Would I get in trouble or something?

There's gotta be case law on this...
