This is something that I've been thinking about a lot recently, and even moreso after seeing the comments on this post.

I question why people are spending time on HN proving that they don't have enough time to do things because of X, Y, Z, instead of using that time for something more effective. Don't get me wrong - I'm here on HN commenting and reading and posting, but I recognize that as a choice and not an excuse for why I couldn't accomplish something else.
