Have we ever got any response like than from GoDaddy ever in any of these issues over years?

I wish it can be disabled for particular apps and not an all or nothing situation.

Can be!

Settings > Apps > choose an app > Lock Screen Appearance: Show Previews - Never

The message text is still sent to the push notification server from the app's infrastructure - this setting simply stops the phone from displaying the message.

The app itself must choose not to send the message text in the push notification.

That setting is available for each individual app.

I usually use stars as a bookmark list to visit later (which I rarely do). I probably would need to stop doing that and use my self-hosted "Karkeep" instance for github projects as well.

Never heard of it before.

https://github.com/karakeep-app/karakeep

Sounds useful.

I’ll star it and check it out later ;)

The conspiracy theorist inside me would say that the French might not be the first to define the metric this way /s.

You're reminding me of a miniminuteman video debunking this conspiracy theory, asking how it was that the aliens who built the pyramids were using the metric system.

I guess it's literally everyone in the galaxy except for Americans using the metric system.

> I guess it's literally everyone in the galaxy except for Americans using the metric system.

So the reason the aliens always start their invasion or encounter with humans from America in Hollywood movies is because they are angry/curious to see the only people in the galaxy not using the metric system?

They hate us for our freedoms!

On a side note. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for filestash, it is really a high quality software piece that solved a lot of pain points for me.

Isn't this basically what was happening with most of our personal projects coming from ideas that we found very interesting and then forget that we ever thought about it?

Probably. But it’s happening at all levels. Legacy companies like Microsoft or Apple are very interested to associate themselves with AI, but not so interested in actually developing good, useful AI products. There’s marketing material for Apple Intelligence translated to my native language, even though it’s not even accessible when using that language.

But MIT also requires Attribution, it is actually the only thing asked in MIT licence.

Any reasons on why an ISP would not implement it other than effort/cost? Just for someone like me whose networks knowledge is very naive.

They may be worried that their larger clients don't have things configured correctly, and they don't want to break things for them.

They may have older hardware that needs to be upgraded before they can use this feature.

They might even have their own way of filtering that they think is good enough.

Though, all of those really boil down to effort/cost.

Open source licence requires attribution which obviously it is not done in this case.

No it doesn’t? Depends on the license

I doubt that there is any open source license that don't require attribution but we are talking about a specific case and the license require it [1]

Bro are you kidding? The whole point of small web is to avoid cooperations, AI and governments.
