Again, somehow other governments in the world have figured out how to do things for the people, without a company having to lobby for it. For example USB-C ports on all devices, I don't think Xiaomi lobbied with billions and that's why the EU decided that.
If companies control the government, then that's not a government, that's a group of companies.
Maybe SWEs just can think better and see that there's nothing they can do, and to fight against this is useless. Artists still hope they can change this somehow, which is impossible, the people with money and datacenters want more money and don't really care about the people that are getting screwed over.
Just need to get AIs to purposely produce slop that has the trappings of quality to sabotage future AIs. Oh and write endless low quality PRs to all GitHub projects to build bad will.
This is a complete scam. They didn’t even protect the API tokens, and when the author was informed that Moltbook exposes all API keys, they claimed they would tell the AI to fix it and he doesn't care.
There can be things that have fake, fraudulent or irresponsible aspects, associated with things that are real. Neither negates the other.
Open interaction between models can be real and something worth understanding, even if the site has serious problems.
All of Molt-world is riddled with lack of security. It is still a significant development, and some people are getting a lot of value out of it. At different levels of risk, depending on their defensive measures.
it's a security nightmare. if you want to make it safe you have to take it's internet access away and don't give any write permissions - and now it's useless.
Sideloading is already painful. I tried installing Sora (which is not available in my region's Play Store). The phone didn't allow me to start the app (complaining about integrity) unless I disabled the Play Store Integrity Checks. It wasn't straightforward in saying what the problem is and how can I bypass the check.
Whenever I search for the title a new machine learning paper, there are a bunch of YouTube videos about it which are just NotebookLM slop. It's straight up environmental pollution.
